Marketing for Locals

More Connection, Less Confusion

Hey, hi! I’m Sarah Stricker, a Carolina-based marketing copy & content writer.

I’m a Tar Heel, a North Carolina native, and I journalism and reporting alumna from the only university rightfully referred to as “Carolina.” (Go heels! Beat d00k!)

I’m a wife, a mom and a … millennial? Yes, I feel confident in my millennial status after a quick Google search.

While I remember that awful dial-up screech, I grew up with access to the internet and social media grew up with me.

On the other hand, I didn’t grow up with an undying love for small businesses. I developed that passion during my college years meandering around Chapel Hill, Richmond and Decatur – where local restaurants, boutiques and bookstores abound.

Whether you’d like to introduce yourself for the sake of introducing yourself or you’d like to let me know you’re interested in a little Local Type assistance, I look forward to meeting you.

(Seriously, this extravert heart skips a beat when you say hello.)

(Not) My Favorites.

It's impossible for me to choose favorites. My brain doesn't and won't do it.

I don’t even have a favorite kind of coffee, which is NOT to say that I don’t love coffee. I do.

To get to know me, take a look at what I’m up to:

  • What I'm working on: client work and homework from my coaching for copywriters group

  • What I'm dreaming about: what business will look like in 2023

  • What I’ve read recently: Company Of One: Why Staying Small Is the Next Big Thing for Business by Paul Jarvis

  • What I’ve watched recently: The Resident & many Blippi episodes

  • Where I’ve been hanging out: Roadtripping to Lenior, Spruce Pine, and Pilot Mountain, checking out the fall foliage and enjoying the cooler temps

I can be professional, too.

Explore my resume-style, experience page & dig up my LinkedIn. You don’t need my permission.
